Join Our Leading Clinical Negligence Team. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a dynamic and supportive team, handling complex cases from start to finish with a proactive and commercially focused approach.
With a strong reputation in clinical negligence and a team that includes APIL, AvMA, and Law Society accredited specialists, you will correspond regularly with clients, medical experts, and other stakeholders to provide clear, informed guidance and maintain strong relationships. Main Responsibilities
* Accountable for providing support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
* Proactive and commercial case management and progression
* Supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs
* Effective and thorough time recording
Responsibilities
* Discussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and team members
* Identifying cases ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
* Working with the team to ensure relevant information is collected to enable progression of the case
* Management of a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
* Co-ordinating the progression of cases with internal and external parties
* Drafting of legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
* Negotiating settlement and issuing and service of proceedings if required
* Overseeing documentation and correspondence produced by the team
* Advising the team on technical issues arising from cases
Essential Skills And Experience
* Recent experience of handling a caseload
* 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience in Clinical Negligence
* Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
* Strong drafting skills and IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, Proclaim, Excel)
* Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness within a legal environment
* Ability to work with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
* Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
* Excellent Client Care Skills
