Information Security Analyst
DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the professional services industry who require an Information Security Analyst to join the firm in Birmingham on an 18 month fixed term contract to provide maternity cover.
Please note this role will require 3 days in the office during probation and 2 days in the office thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor the firm's network and systems for suspicious activities and security breaches.
* Assist in investigating, escalating and responding to security incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
* Document incidents, providing analysis and any remediation/response actions taken.
* Conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
* Conduct monthly endpoint application security version checks to ensure ongoing accreditation related compliance.
* Arrange independent penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
* Collaborate with the IT Team to ensure all remediation updates are implemented to mitigate all vulnerabilities.
* Develop and maintain IT security policies, procedures and standards in accordance with industry best practices and legal requirements.
* Coordinate and assign security awareness training for employees to educate them on best practices for safeguarding sensitive information.
* Assist with the data gathering requirements in relation to Data Subject Access Requests.
* Conduct audits in line with our ISO:27001 accreditation and to test our policies and procedures.
Key Skills:
* Strong knowledge and sound understanding of ISO 27001:2022
Relevant profession certification(s) e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+.
* Strong knowledge of security frameworks, NIST, UKGDPR and Cyber Essentials/Cyber Essentials +).
* Proficiency in security tools and technologies e.g., XDR, EDR, SIEM.
* Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
