The Role
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of multi-utility projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance. You will manage schemes involving electrical, water, gas, and civil works, coordinate stakeholders, manage contractors, and oversee operational planning on site. This role is suited for someone confident working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Compliance
* Manage health, safety, quality, and compliance across all sites, ensuring standards like WIRS, NERS, and GIRS are met.
* Lead planning and delivery of multi-utility works, including jointing, excavation, reinstatement, and installation of substations and gas PRIs.
* Coordinate network connections with DNOs, IDNOs, IGTs, and water companies.
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
* Create and maintain project schedules, work plans, and resource allocations.
* Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and resources.
* Prepare RAMS and work schedules for teams.
* Manage project documentation and drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
* Act as the main contact for clients, consultants, and network operators.
* Lead stakeholder meetings to align expectations and deadlines.
* Ensure all permits, agreements, and regulatory documents are secured.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience managing multi-utility projects, especially in water, electric, gas, and civils.
* Experience with WIRS-accredited water infrastructure projects is essential.
* Background working for Self-Lay Providers (SLP) or Independent Connection Providers (ICP).
* Knowledge of civils works, excavation, reinstatement, cable and pipe laying, and substation construction.
* Understanding of NERS, WIRS, and GIRS standards and regulations.
* Leadership skills for site teams and subcontractors.
* Experience with budget control, procurement, and contracts.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office and project management tools.
* Self-motivated, organized, and capable of independent delivery.
