Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee warehouse operations, shipping, and logistics management for high-value goods. The candidate must demonstrate organizational skills, meticulous stock control, and leadership to ensure secure and efficient warehousing, distribution, and supply chain management. The role will be based mainly at the warehouse in South East London.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
* Oversee daily activities including receiving, storage, picking, and packing of high-value inventory
* Maintain inventory accuracy through systematic stock control and audits
* Implement security procedures for handling and storing high-value goods
* Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for efficiency
Shipping & Distribution
* Manage end-to-end shipping, carrier relationships, and service agreements
* Coordinate delivery scheduling, dispatch, and shipment tracking
* Ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely dispatch
* Handle shipping documentation, customs, and compliance
Logistics & Inventory Management
* Manage inventory across all product lines
* Develop logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain
* Coordinate with procurement, sales, and customer service to balance inventory
* Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements
* Lead and develop warehouse staff
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
* Create staffing schedules and manage operational demands
* Foster a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years in senior warehouse and logistics management
* Experience handling high-value goods and security protocols
* Strong background in stock control and inventory systems
* Experience with warehouse management software
* Leadership and team management skills
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge of inventory management and security best practices
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Proficiency in warehouse management software and MS Office
* Ability to work under pressure with accuracy
* Forklift license and relevant certifications
