Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Your new company, Hays Accountancy & Finance, is recruiting a Finance Business Partner on behalf of our client, an organization supporting individuals and families living with disabilities, autism, and brain injuries.
Role Overview: The role is crucial in ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency, compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements, and supervising various functions within the finance department. Key responsibilities include management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, staff development, and mentoring.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to Finance Improvement Plans for services.
2. Assist with grant applications and claims, support grant and verification audits.
3. Lead supplier contract reviews and renewals, including tender processes.
4. Prepare monthly management accounts and variance reports.
5. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
6. Provide project management support.
7. Ensure compliance with statutory returns (e.g., Companies House, Charity Commission).
8. Promote GDPR compliance and cybersecurity within the department.
9. Line management and staff training, support, and mentoring.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, or ACCA).
* At least 3 years' experience in a finance function within a large, diverse organization.
* Experience in management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting.
* Knowledge of ISO systems or other quality management systems.
Desirable: Experience with grant funding, including claims and applications; management and mentoring experience.
