This is an exciting new Group Head of Treasury at a corporate business based in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will safeguard the group cash, maintain banking relationships on a global scale, and ensure that the firm have a smooth payment process.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead liquidity forecasting and short to medium-term planning
* Maintain strong external relationships with banks, and insurance brokers
* Creation and implementation of robust Treasury policies, procedures, and controls
* Lead and mentor a team of two treasury professionals, providing guidance, support and fostering their professional development
* Evaluate and review TMS platforms, lead the project rollout
* Modernise the payments process ensuring controls are robust
* Review in country short term cash forecasts and issue a consolidated rolling cash forecast to the executive leadership team
* Implementation and responsibility of cash pooling for the group
* Responsibility for the annual group wide company insurance renewal
* Main contact for all banking partners, and the gatekeeper for banking mandates
* Strengthen the controls environment and drive change through continuous process improvements and re-engineering the cash management processes
Key Skills Required
* Bachelor's degree in finance / economics
* Professional Treasury qualification (AMCT)
* Minimum of 5 years in an international Treasury role
* Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently on technical matters at senior levels
* A track record of driving change and improving processes
* A strategic mindset combined with operational excellence
* Proven leadership experience in corporate treasury within a large, international group
* Experience of using / implementing a TMS (Treasury Management System)
