Overview
Hollyfield School is seeking an experienced and empathetic self-employed School Counsellor to join our dedicated pastoral team for two days per week. Start date: September 2025. Term time only (39 weeks per year). Salary: Self employed.
Role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the School’s strong commitment to pupil mental health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will be a qualified counsellor, with membership of a professional body such as BACP, and will work closely with pupils, parents, staff, and external professionals to provide high-quality support and care.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality counselling and pastoral support to pupils, parents, and staff.
* Collaborate with external professionals to coordinate care and support for pupils.
Essential Qualifications
* Qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist: Recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy (Level 4 diploma or higher).
* BACP/UKCP Registration: Full membership or accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), or an equivalent body.
* Safeguarding: Familiarity with safeguarding policies and practices in educational settings, with up-to-date safeguarding training.
