We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer for a permanent role in a manufacturing company based near Aston, Birmingham. Working schedule: Permanent role. Days, Monday to Friday. This is an on-site role with no possibility of hybrid working. Role Description – Responsibilities. Ensure Management system is supported across site to ensure we develop and maintain accreditation to ISO9001, duties for this include: * Conduct internal audits to support ISO14001 and ISO9001 standards. * Support 3rd party audits on site to maintain accreditation. * Support internal and external improvements using 8d and PPS processes. * Conduct process and product audits. * Facilitate 8D’s through to completion as part of Quality team activity. * Conduct operator training in relation to quality aspects. * Management of all Master, production, customer reference, OK/NOK samples. * Continually up-date master control plans on products. Support first off process when needed on site. * Support the team to drive QHSE KPI’s across site. Working Knowledge / Experience: * Good understanding of the fundamental principles of dimensional metrology. A good working knowledge of small dimensional metrology instruments. Able to work with and understand Drawings and CAD data. * An understanding of Quality core tools: SPC, APQP, PPAP. * Computer literate an ability to communicate on all levels within an organisation (verbal and written). * Auditor Trained to ISO14001 and ISO9001 standards. * Experienced in using/programming a CMM (Desirable). * Must be a pragmatic and practical problem solver. * Ability to multitask effectively. * Must be a proficient communicator and listener. * Must possess a professional and mature attitude. * Hold a current Driving licence. Qualifications & Experience / Education: * ISO14001 and ISO9001 standards and trained auditor * 5s understanding. * Min 5 years’ experience in Quality Engineering role required. * PPS / 8d complete understanding of process. KPIs:- * Audits conducted to plan, and any CAR raised closed out. * Support and drive Quality 8ds across site. * Check and monitor Customer portal to confirm score cards.
