Band 4 Urology Data Analyst

Overview
The successful candidate will have experience in data collection and analysis and the appropriate skills to design, develop, generate and maintain reports. You will demonstrate attention to detail, check accuracy of reporting, and present complex data in an easily understandable format.
You will be expected to analyse data from multiple sources and provide key analysis and decision‑making information for clinical and operational activities within the Directorate.
Main duties of the job
* The Data Analyst will be a self‑motivated individual with a can‑do attitude, prioritising their own workload to meet deadlines.
* Responsible for creating, updating, maintaining and improving reports, ensuring high quality work.
* Interrogate data and create appropriate reports to support the clinical team.
* Build and maintain relationships with operations and clinical teams, liaising regularly to understand processes and identify reporting needs.
* Publish information in an excellent format for use at any level within the organisation.
* Work across sites, attending meetings with operations and clinical teams.
Qualifications
* Educated to A level standard plus 2 years’ NHS experience gained in a data analyst post.
* Previous experience presenting complex data in a user‑friendly format.
* Extended experience working in a healthcare or similar administrative environment.
* Exceptional negotiating skills, with the ability to influence others.
Experience
* Production of key performance indicator reports.
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Access and Excel, including pivot tables and charts.
* Experience with Endobase, Microsoft TSQL and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
