Employee Relations Advisor

YOUR ROLE
Our employee relations team who provides desk-based advice and guidance to our people managers have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified HR professional where you will deliver consistent, clear, and concise employee relations advice, support, and case management for the UK and Ireland.
This critical role will see you working a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, we do operate hybrid working, with a blend of working from home and from our head office in Ashby de la Zouch.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You will be joining a broad and diverse Human Resources team where you will work within a small desk-based employee relations function reporting directly into the Employee Relations Team Leader.
You will provide people managers with valuable coaching and support on employment law issues, managing complex cases through to resolution, mitigating the risk of employee tribunal. You will collaborate with HR Business Partners where you will support all case management activities such as individual consultations as part of TUPE and redundancy situations.
You will record all employee relations cases using our case management system, analysing and producing reports to highlight issues, identifying trends and increasing awareness relating to people management.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will be CIPD Level 5 qualified with proven employee relations experience and a strong understanding of employment law, ideally within unionised environments. You will have experience of creating, analysing, and implementing employee relations policies, procedures, and processes in line with organisational requirements.
This role requires a resilient and empathic individual who can build strong and credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders, where you will be experienced in challenging, coaching, and guiding people managers through complex ER cases.
As this role will be desk-based you will need to be comfortable managing most cases via teams’ meetings and telephone calls, you will at times have managers come to head office for advice therefore you will also be confident in dealing with managers face to face as and when required.
