The Humanities Faculty, which includes Religious Education, plays a key role in helping students develop critical thinking, empathy, and moral understanding.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Interim RE Teacher to join our team as soon as possible, to teach engaging and thought-provoking lessons while a permanent appointment is made.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
1. Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly KS5, depending on experience).
2. Deliver lessons that encourage discussion, reflection, and respect for different beliefs and values.
3. Assess and monitor student progress effectively, supporting all learners to achieve their potential.
4. Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities where appropriate.
5. Maintain a positive learning environment and uphold the school’s ethos and standards.
Requirements
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent overseas qualification).
7. Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
8. A passion for inspiring young people and promoting moral and cultural understanding.
9. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
10. Ability to adapt quickly and contribute positively to a busy school environment.
11. ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply.
