Lead Specialist Clinical Trials Pharmacist

Alder Hey Pharmacy Department is looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to cover the Clinical Trials aspect of a maternity leave vacancy.
The successful candidate will join our Clinical Trials pharmacy team, providing support to the NIHR Alder Hey Clinical Research Facility (CRF) and Trust Clinical Research Division. You will ensure compliance with statutory, professional, and trust requirements. This includes supporting feasibility and setup of dispensary and aseptic clinical trials.

Main duties of the job
* Pharmacy Lead for clinical trials ensuring that they meet statutory, professional and trust management requirements, includes supporting feasibility and set up of Aseptic Services Unit (ASU) clinical trials
* To plan and coordinate clinical pharmacy training programs with regard to clinical trials and controlled drugs
* To act as Lead Specialist Pharmacist for the safe management of Controlled Drugs
* To provide advanced specialist clinical pharmacy services in the dispensary (Outpatient and Inpatient)
* To supervise junior pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists and other pharmacy staff working in the dispensary

* Extensive post graduate hospital experience
* Good working knowledge of applying GCP requirements to Clinical Trials
