Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Research Nurse to join the Barnet and Chase Farm research team. The post holder will work in Theme 1 (Oncology) in a collaborative role with Principal Investigators, Co Investigators and all clinical staff involved in the care and supervision of patients enrolled on trials. The SRN is an expert nurse within the Trust for the conduct of clinical trials, academic research and studies within the amyloidosis research unit.
The SRN works in a collaborative role to support safe set up and recruitment to trials and in direct collaboration with clinical and academic teams recruiting to locally approved studies. There is a need for visibility, expert communication and teaching skills to engender understanding and support for the research process in Oncology.
Responsibilities
* Oversight of a portfolio of studies in Oncology, manages junior staff and leads in all communication to support recruitment, the reporting of clinical events and the collection of quality controlled data.
* Represent the Trust in working with external commercial partners, charities and funding bodies in the delivery of trials under their management.
* Collaborate with Principal Investigators, Co Investigators and all staff involved in the care and supervision of patients enrolled on trials, ensuring safe study setup and recruitment to locally approved studies.
