We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.
Required
* Commercial experience using Kotlin
* Experience using Spring boot or similar such as Ktor
* A passion for creating API-first products
* Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean code
* Familiar with Agile principles and best practices such as peer code review, pair programming etc
* Clear understanding of fundamental computer science and software engineering concepts (e.g. design patterns, test-first design, SOLID principles)
* Prior experience in addressing business and technical stakeholder requirements and translating these to the appropriate solution architecture
Desirable
* Previous experience dealing with Monolith and Microservices architectures
* Experience working for a product centric organisation
* Experience working with AWS or similar cloud technologies
What you will do
* Design, Code and Test firmware for embedded systems
* Contribute to the improvement of the structure and design of the codebase for future scalability
* Maintain released products.
* Provide third-level support. Debug and identify root-causes with a variety of hardware and firmware issues
* Build and maintain an automated testing harness for embedded system devices
* Create and execute manual and automated test cases using Ohme’s test case management system
