We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Full Sutton, as a Deputy Local Education Manager. This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Full Sutton is a Category A high-security prison located in East Yorkshire, approximately 11 miles from York. It accommodates around 600 adult male prisoners, many of whom are serving long-term or life sentences. The prison offers a structured and secure environment where education plays a vital role in rehabilitation. Learners are supported through a range of educational and vocational programmes.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
* Teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
* Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
* Developing, leading and managing a team effectively
* Managing colleagues including the deployment of those colleagues and appropriate delegation of tasks
* Implementing and managing continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures
* Successful partnership working
* Working within a secure environment
* Working with learners with challenging behaviour
