A dedicated professional is sought to provide vital support to Pre-K students with behavioral needs in Henderson, North Carolina, for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position focuses on fostering social-emotional development and promoting positive behaviors in young children.
Responsibilities:
* Offer direct and indirect support to Pre-K 3-year-olds exhibiting mild to moderate behavioral challenges.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers and parents to implement behavioral intervention strategies.
* Observe and assess student behavior to identify patterns and triggers for more effective support.
* Develop and monitor individualized behavior plans to guide students toward positive outcomes.
* Work alongside teachers and staff to create a consistent and nurturing learning environment.
* Document student progress and participate in team meetings to discuss and plan for student needs.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field such as early childhood development, special education, or school psychology.
* Current or pending professional license in North Carolina relevant to your expertise.
* New graduates with a pending license are encouraged to apply.
* Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children.
* Knowledge of child development and behavioral challenges in early childhood settings.
