Are you ready to take the next step in your education career? We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join a specialist Further Education provision in the heart of Bath. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who have autism and learning disabilities, helping them thrive both in a dedicated SEN centre and in the wider college community – including construction, mechanics and animal care. This role is open to confident graduates, experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, youth workers, sports coaches and support workers who are looking for meaningful work supporting vulnerable young people. You must hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree, but you do not need a PGCE – making this an ideal step into teaching for those who are keen to lead classes and inspire students.
Responsibilities
* Support young people who have autism and learning disabilities to thrive in a SEN centre and in the wider college community, including construction, mechanics and animal care.
* Help guide students to reach their potential with energy, patience and a genuine commitment to helping every young person succeed.
* Lead groups or support learners where appropriate, contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Be prepared to step up as a class lead where needed.
Requirements
* Minimum of an undergraduate degree; a PGCE is not required.
* Open to confident graduates, experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, youth workers, sports coaches and support workers seeking meaningful work in education.
Details
* Start date: ASAP (initial 16-week settling-in period before permanent placement).
* Hours: full-time, part-time or flexible (bank/supply).
* Pay: negotiated on experience (between £18.50 and £40 per hour; higher end for qualified SEN Teachers).
* Times: 8:30am–3:30pm or 8:30am–4:30pm.
