Residential Support Workers – Coventry City Council ?\n Ad-Hoc & Full-Time Opportunities Available – Day & Night Shifts\n\n We are currently recruiting for Residential Children’s Workers and Night Care Officers to support Coventry City Council’s children's homes. We have both ad-hoc shifts and full-time (37 hours/week) contracts available on an initial 3-month basis.\n\n This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to young people with a range of complex needs, whether you're looking for flexible shifts or more consistent contracted hours.\n\n ? About the Homes:\nBroad Lane & Doe Bank: 4-bed homes supporting children with emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties (EBD)\n\nDorchester Way: 4-bed home for children with disabilities, requiring staff to deliver personal care\n\n? Shifts Available: Ad-Hoc Shifts Day Shifts (EBD Homes):\n\nLate: 10:00 – 23:00 (Sun–Thurs) | until 00:00 (Fri–Sat) – may include sleep-in\n\nEarly: 07:00 – 10:30\n\nDorchester Way (Disability Home):\n\nLate: 14:00 – 23:00 – may include sleep-in\n\nEarly: 07:00 – 14:30\n\nNight Shifts (All Homes):\n\nWaking Nights: 22:00 – 07:00\n\nFull-Time Contract Roles (Initial 3 Months):\nResidential Support Worker – 37 hours/week (day shifts including potential sleep-ins)\n\nWaking Nights Support Worker – 37 hours/week\n\n? Urgent Ad-Hoc Cover Dates: Day Support:\n\n5th–28th August: 10:00 – 23:00\n\n6th & 24th August: Sleep-ins (10:00 – 23:00 + 07:00 – 11:00 next day)\n\nNight Support:\n\n4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 28th, 29th August\n\n?
Pay Rates:\nResidential Support Worker: £13.05/hour + 33.3% waking night allowance (where applicable)\n\nNight Care Officer: £14.36/hour + 14% shift allowance\n\n? Requirements:\nExperience: Previous experience in children’s residential care, especially EBD or disability settings\n\nQualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)\n\nDBS: Enhanced with Children’s Barred List (on the update service or newly processed)\n\nTraining (must be valid or willing to complete):\n\nHealth & Safety, Fire Safety, GDPR/Data Protection\n\nSafeguarding – CSE/CE, Contextual Safeguarding, PREVENT\n\nAutism, ADHD, Neurodiversity\n\nFirst Aid\n\nGeneral Residential Training – Missing from Care, ACEs, PBS, etc.\n\nCompliance: Schedule 2 compliance must be completed before start\n\n?
