Overview
Multi-Trade Operative – Joiner, Chester. 40 hours per week. £34,376 - £36,185 per year.
Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Responsibilities
* Attend vacant properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties within Social Housing
* Carry out reactive repairs to domestic dwellings, from leaking taps to replacing baths and doors
* Undertake external repairs including fencing and groundworks
* Work as part of a team, with occasional lone working
* Be available for emergency call-out rota; a company van and power tools will be provided
* Maintain van stock levels and restock as needed
* Provide accurate and timely information on progress of works
* Provide out-of-hours cover via a call-out rota
Skills and experience / Qualifications
* Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry or electrical); if Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). Original certification must be produced during the interview; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
* Recent experience in a similar role within social housing is advantageous
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
* Additional skills in plumbing, joinery, carpentry and plastering would be advantageous
* Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Full UK driving licence required to drive a company vehicle
