We’re working with a thriving Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school with a fantastic Sixth Form, where English is a strong, well-resourced department with excellent results at GCSE and A-Level.
What you’ll be doing:
Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and creativity
Supporting students in exam preparation, coursework, and wider literacy skills
Contributing to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development
Playing an active role in enrichment activities (debating, creative writing clubs, theatre trips)
What we’re looking for:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with a degree in English or a related subject
Experience teaching English at GCSE essential; A-Level desirable
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature and language
A reflective practitioner who is adaptable, supportive, and committed to student success
