This post would hold Team Lead responsibilities for one of our busy Orthopaedic Theatres.
Our Theatre Department comprises of 16 theatres at Forth Valley Royal Hospital and 2 theatres at Falkirk Community Hospital. The activity within this Orthopaedic theatre is a combination of several sub-specialities.
We are seeking motivated individuals with relevant theatre experience, preferably dual trained in Anaesthetics and Scrub, that can demonstrate the ability to perform in a team lead role.
There is an expectation in this post that the successful candidate can lead by example and drive improvements in patient Care Assurance and Patient Safety. An expectation is to be clinically assessing the staff within your theatre and ensuring documentation of staff performance and competencies are completed within a time set period.
The shift pattern will be essentially Monday – Friday but may vary due to Service requirements.
You will be responsible with the SCN/Theatre Coordinator for the Team ethos, Professionalism and standards of practice of the theatre you will be assigned to. You will assist in incident reporting management, absence management, HR and performance of your team.
Competent advanced IT and verbal communication is essential. Successful candidates will be offered a supported induction period. It is also essential you have evidence of continual development, IT skills, good communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a theatre environment and motivating your team.
As a key leadership team member in this fast-paced environment you will require a “can do” approach, an understanding of the current and future demands on the service, the skill and desire to deliver on these requirements and the ability to lead the team to achieve success. You will passionate about teaching, supporting and developing your team.
