Are you a dynamic and visionary middle or senior leader looking for your next step? We are working on behalf of a high-performing secondary school to appoint a Director of Learning to lead departmental strategy, raise achievement, and drive professional excellence across the curriculum.
About the Role:
As Director of Learning, you will lead the strategic development of a curriculum area, oversee the performance of staff, and ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning. The role includes curriculum design, line management of TLR holders, data-informed planning, and working closely with SLT to promote a culture of high expectations and educational excellence. You will also play a key role in whole-school development, intervention planning, and stakeholder engagement.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience leading or managing a department, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner, skilled at coaching colleagues, and confident in curriculum leadership, assessment, and whole-school planning. A passion for inspiring both staff and students, and a commitment to school improvement, are essential.
