Description
Key responsibilities include delivering high standards of football training sessions, attending fixtures and training sessions, monitoring and carrying out Individual development plans for all players; planning, leading, supporting and delivering coaching sessions to develop students' skills and knowledge of the game; organising fixtures, referees and kit for match day; complying with league regulations by submitting results and player information by the deadline; supporting the sports strand in managing each student journey and pastoral support for football academy players; contributing to recruitment of new players; working closely with coaches and lecturers to provide the best experience; communicating effectively with players, parents/guardians and lecturing staff; maintaining 1:1 player development plans and providing notice of team selections with constructive feedback at least 24 hours before matches.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Level 2/FA Level 2 coaching qualification
* GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above
* Full UK driving licence
* Relevant first aid qualification
* Demonstrate high standards of e-literacy and competence in using the Microsoft Office Suite
* Technical knowledge of football and coaching and ensuring that the four corner FA model is adhered to
* Understanding of sport/football development within the FA and FE environment
* Knowledge of equality and diversity relating to sporting provision
* Good written and verbal communication, competent IT and social media skills
* Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety in a service oriented organisation
