Job Summary
Receiving orders and despatching goods in a timely and efficient manner.
Operation and maintenance of stock control and other administration systems in an efficient and effective manner.
Maintaining Stores and Yard areas.
Maintain calibrations and certifications for small plant and equipment.
Note: Specific responsibilities are agreed and detailed within CMS procedures..
Responsibilities
* Ordering and distributing any stock, materials, fuel, plant, equipment as required by the depot.
* Liaise with Managers regarding delivery arrangements
* Maintain lifting equipment register and certificates
* Maintain P.A.T test register and certificates
* Maintain PPE stock ensuring new for old policy is adhered to
* Maintaining efficiency of stock records both manually and computerised including items to be booked to contracts/ projects.
* Maintaining efficient organisation of returns.
* Maintain electronic asset and material registers and associated processes and systems.
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the stores and yard
* Adhere to, and ensure employees and visitors adhere to, health and safety standards in line with Health and Safety requirements.
* Collection and delivery of goods as and when required.
* Provide Stores support to other depots as needed
* Other tasks and duties as requested by management
* Regular stock taking
* Monitor and exchange skips
* Monitor and arrange cess pit emptying
* Maintain yard and stores signage
* Check and report on damages
Skills
* Experience of stock control methods.
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
* Must be computer literate
* Attention to detail/ orderly.
* Experience of Utilities and/ or Construction Industry desirable.
* Good communication skills
* Flexible/ adaptable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
