PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To support Maen Karne in its objective to become the first choice for concrete product supply in the South West. Whilst complying to H&S guidelines to help Maen Karne achieve our target of Zero Harm.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operation of semi-automatic block plant equipment. Including pre-shift safety checks.
* Safe operation of Mobile Plant.
* Production checks to ensure compliance.
* Maintain good housekeeping procedure.
* Basic Maintenance, greasing and cleaning.
* Work in a safe manner, promoting the company's ambition of Zero Harm.
* Any other reasonable duties as required. Knowledge/Experience Required
* No previous experience of equipment is required as full training will be given.
* A background knowledge of Maen Karne, including our Core Values would be an advantage.
* Strong Health and Safety awareness and commitment to achieving Zero Harm.
* Excellent time keeping and punctuality.
* A Willingness to learn.
* An ability to integrate into an existing team.
* An ability to assess tasks and implement safety provisions prior to commencement.
* Able to work within safety guidelines implemented by Maen Karne and the Industry as a whole.
* Full training on our equipment, mobile plant and safety provisions will be given to the right candidate, but a willingness to learn every aspect of the role, and a flexibility to working hours is essential.
* Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:
* Fork Lift Truck License (Desirable).
* Excellent time keeping and punctuality.
* A Willingness to learn.
* An ability to integrate into an existing team.
* An ability to assess tasks and implement safety provisions prior to commencement.
* Able to work within safety guidelines implemented by Maen Karne and the Industry as a whole.
