Become an Old Course Walking Tour Guide
We are looking to add to our team of tour guides in St Andrews providing guided tours of the Old Course. If you're friendly, love meeting new people, flexible and happy to share your passion for golf to people from all walks of life then this role is perfect for you Confidence speaking in front of large groups of people is a must.
Walking Tours in Scotland provides city walking tours in towns and cities across Scotland. We have a passion for sharing the beauty of Scotland with locals and tourists from across the world, and wish to make every visitor's experience phenomenal.
Hours:
* Part Time Position.
* Our Old Course Tours are exclusively private tours, so timings and dates can vary from week to week.
* Variable tours in the off-season and likely 2-5 tours a week from May-October. Summer availability is essential.
* If you are also interested in history there is the option for you to provide tours of St Andrews town centre as well as the golf. These run daily at 11am (and 2pm in summer), as well as private tours at variable times of day.
This job is very suitable for retired individual, students and those looking for a part-time role to earn some extra money and are excited about sharing their passion and knowledge for St Andrews.
Skills and competency requirements:
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills in English.
* Knowledge and passion for golf and the Old Course.
* Friendly and approachable.
* Ability to work independently.
* Flexibility in working hours.
* Must be reliable and responsible.
* Confidence talking in front of both small and large groups.
