A rewarding and exciting role as a Behaviour Support Assistant has opened for an aspiring SEN teacher, an educational psychologist, support worker or occupational therapist. The role provides the opportunity to observe and shadow trained professionals such as experienced SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists while gaining invaluable experience.
Responsibilities
* Co-operate with and observe trained professionals such as SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists.
* Implement specific strategies to support young learners with challenging behaviours.
* Provide emotional support and promote positive habits to improve well-being and social interactions with peers.
* Support learners whose behaviours are outside typical boundaries as defined by the school.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant experience working with difficult behaviour, mental health issues, or SEN children is desirable.
* A passion to understand triggering factors and to support positive behavioural change.
* Ability to adapt approaches and strategies to individual needs.
* Full-time availability, 8:30am – 3:30pm, Chippenham.
* Salary: £80 - £95 per day.
