A vacancy has arisen for a Flt Lt (Any Profession; however, preference will be given to People Ops Pers (Trg)) to serve as Training Support Projects Officer within the RAF Air Cadets HQ at RAFC Cranwell on Volunteer ex-Regular Reserve Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 27 July 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). This Headquarters-based RAFAC post is offered on a 90‑day Volunteer Ex‑Regular Reserve (VERR) commitment and will provide specialist advice, support, and guidance to shape training policy, with a particular emphasis on strengthening provision for our volunteers. The role requires a flexible commitment of one to two days per week and will support the effective development, coordination, and delivery of training policy and guidance for Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) and cadets. Job Description: Reporting to the Head of Training Plans & Delivery, the postholder will act as a specialist adviser on CFAV training design and delivery. They will ensure training aligns with the RAFAC vision and supports safe and effective conduct of RAFAC activities. The role involves national-level coordination with internal and external stakeholders and requires expertise in training analysis, design, and governance. Key Responsibilities : Design and develop CFAV training in line with the CFAV ‘Generic’ Training Needs Analysis and subordinate TNAs. Conduct role analysis and TNA for CFAV roles. Develop and maintain distributed and online CFAV training courses, ensuring compliance with DSAT methodology and JSP822. Produce and update course materials for face-to-face and online delivery. Manage assurance, governance, and improvement processes for CFAV training, including Training Improvement Processes (TIP) and course reviews. Support accreditation of CFAV courses and contribute to 2PA audits. Provide specialist advice to RAFAC permanent staff on CFAV training and DSAT processes. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practices in training analysis and design. Assist in the development of RAFAC HQ policies as directed by RAFAC Dep Comdt. Act as the DLE Training Category Manager for CFAV training. Communicate CFAV training policies and updates to all stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of training design, governance, and evaluation processes, as well as effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
