Quantity Surveyor - Water Infrastructure
About the Role
We are looking to strengthen our Commercial team with a Quantity Surveyor based on site in the South West region, with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the project Commercial Lead and will be expected to provide commercial support on projects and take responsibility for several key accounts on a large project.
Location:Bristol (4 days on-site/office, 1 day WFH)
Salary:£45,000 - £55,000 + £4,800 car allowance or company car
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
* Applications, valuations / cost value reconciliation
* Cost control and forecasting
* Prepare and feed information for weekly/monthly reports: value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow
Supply Chain & Subcontract Management:
* Supply chain management
* Prepare subcontract enquiries, negotiate and set up contracts
* Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractor(s) and clients' representative(s)
Risk & Value Management:
* Assist with Risk and Value Management to optimise solutions
* Mentor and regularly review with the project team
Contract Management:
* Contract Management including all relevant contractual forms, methods of budgetary control and relevant software applications
* Ensure all notifications/documents are kept up to date
* Provide contractual advice to the site team as and when required
Health & Safety:
* Ensure all safety risk situations are brought to the attention of site management
Essential Skills & Experience
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* ARICS or studying for APC
* Experience working with a main contractor
Desirable
* Experience working within the water sector
* Knowledge of NEC contracts
