Job overview
We require an experienced member of Pharmacy Production staff to join our team working in our licensed, commercial aseptic unit at Queen's Hospital. The postholder will be responsible for the preparation of Parenteral Nutrition and other injectable products such as antibiotics, patient-controlled analgesia, and cytotoxics, as well as training new starters in these critical production techniques. The postholder will also check raw materials and labels for batches of product to be prepared. Experience in aseptic pharmaceutical preparation is essential, and the candidate must be methodical, accurate, and team-oriented.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will perform specialist aseptic dispensing and in-process checking professionally, providing high-quality, customer-oriented service. They will also train Pharmacy Production Assistants in aseptic techniques and Good Manufacturing Practice.

* Aseptic Processing Course and extensive experience in aseptic processing
* SMT in Aseptics or working towards it
* NVQ3 Pharmacy Qualification

This role involves working with vulnerable populations and is subject to DBS checks as per regulations.
