As our Corporate Accountant, you'll support high-quality financial reporting across the Group, helping ensure our accounts are accurate, compliant, and clear. Working closely with the Financial Controller – Reporting & Systems, you'll play a key role in financial statements, statutory reporting, and strong internal controls while supporting colleagues to make informed decisions. Where does this role fit in?
You will work within the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller – Reporting & Systems, and will be responsible for supporting financial accounting services across the Group.
You Will
Work closely with finance colleagues, senior leaders, and budget holders.
Support Board and Committee reporting processes.
Liaise with external auditors and professional advisors.
Contribute to strong financial controls and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Provide financial insight to support organisational decision-making.
You may also support and guide colleagues within the finance team as part of day-to-day work
What skills and experience do you need?
You'll Likely Bring
A recognised CCAB accounting qualification with post-qualification experience.
Experience delivering financial accounting, statutory reporting, or audit support.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
Confidence explaining financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
Experience working with financial systems and tools such as Excel and accounting software.
A collaborative mindset and motivation to improve processes and controls.

Pay and Pensions
The exact salary is £60,962 for a 37 hour, full time, permanent position

Time off and Flexibility
26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.
Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday, with the option to work compressed hours across a 9 day fortnight.
This is a hybrid role, with head offices in Newport, Cardiff and Swansea — your main base will be the office closest to your home location.
