shoezone has an opportunity for a Store Manager to join our team based in Maldon. You will join us on a full time (37.5 hours), permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary.

We are a town centre, retail park and digital footwear retailer, offering low price and high-quality footwear for the whole family, with free next day delivery on all orders, seven days a week. We operate from 280 stores and have approximately 2,200 employees across the UK. Our store portfolio consists of 91 town centre stores, which stock the core shoezone product range, 144 hybrid town centre stores and 43 larger retail park stores which also stock additional brands such as Skechers, Hush Puppies and Kickers. shoezone.com stocks online exclusive footwear, combined with our store network and marketplaces, ensuring a full multi-channel offering for great customer service. During an average year we sell 14.5 million pairs of shoes per annum at an average retail price of £13.
The Store Manager Role
As a Store Manager you will have the responsibility for the running of your store. You will be a hands-on individual who leads from the front in a role which can be challenging and demanding, focusing on maximising sales through local knowledge, exceeding budget targets, efficient cost control, promoting the best customer service and looking for opportunities to lead, motivate, develop and inspire your team.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Directly responsible for achieving optimum sales through commerciality, ensuring excellent customer service is provided by your team in a fast-paced environment.
* Actively support, develop and mentor your team of colleagues to ensure store standards are high and that the best customer experience is offered to encourage repeat custom.
* Take ownership of the store by consistently maintaining standards and commerciality, merchandising to Marketing guidelines, and maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
* Provide a safe environment for your team and customers by implementing current health and safety policies.
