Offer description

The PTI (formerly The Prince’s Teaching Institute) is a successful education charity supporting teachers in primary and secondary schools across England and Wales. It offers membership programmes and hundreds of subject-specific events annually, making it the UK’s leading provider of in-service subject-specific training.

We are seeking an ambitious, high-calibre recent graduate who is well-organised and eager to develop their career. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education's transformative power and will work within a motivated, supportive team to develop and plan programmes and events that inspire teachers and enhance their teaching skills. Your work will directly contribute to helping teachers deliver excellent education to young people.

The PTI is a prestigious organisation that influences and supports teachers nationwide, impacting individual schools and shaping the national education debate.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a small, successful charity where independent thinking and responsibility are encouraged. You will have daily contact with teachers, headteachers, and school staff, collaborating closely with PTI teacher leaders and the full-time team led by Co-Director Hugh Rayment-Pickard.

The charity currently operates a hybrid working schedule: staff can work from home on Mondays and Tuesdays and are required in the office from Wednesday to Friday. All necessary IT equipment will be provided; a home internet connection is required for remote work.

During term time, you will be expected to travel once a week to deliver training events across England and Wales, which may include overnight stays (all travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs are covered by the charity).

For more information about The PTI, visit our website at www.ptieducation.org.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences, especially from underrepresented groups.

Please send your CV and a cover letter explaining your suitability and interest in the role via the application button below, quoting "Programmes Assistant" in the subject line.

The deadline for applications is Monday 19th May 2025 at 9am. Only applications submitted through the specified method will be considered. Final interviews will be held in London on 5th June.
