Chinthurst School is seeking a proactive, hands-on individual to join our dedicated premises team. Working under the Maintenance Manager, you'll support the smooth daily operation of the school through a wide range of caretaking and maintenance tasks, including building repairs, event set-up, cleaning duties, and emergency response. This is a varied and physical role that requires a strong work ethic, a flexible attitude, and a willingness to learn. CARETAKING TASKS:
The role involves completing and recording regular maintenance checks, attending to the arrivals of deliveries, ensuring facilities are fully stocked, supervision of contractors while on site, maintenance cleaning (minibuses, bins, windows), rubbish collation and removal.
MAINTENANCE TASKS:
Candidate will be required to work with colleagues to undertake building maintenance and general maintenance tasks with an aptitude to learn quickly. Most tasks are planned however responsive tasks are also required in a busy school environment. The willingness to respond, learn and complete work competently with a “can do” attitude is essential.
This is a fixed-term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship.
