JOB DESCRIPTION
Machine Operator - Middleton (Manchester)
Ecolab are looking for Machine Operators. You will report directly to a senior operator and will be required to maintain the production schedule of our product catalogue safely and to the required quality standards
Accountable for setting up, operating, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment at fixed workstation positions including, operating machinery/equipment to install a piece/part/component of an in-process product, assembly, or sub-assembly as it moves along the assembly line. Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods. Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products. Maintaining accurate daily assembly production records.
You will ensure that we have the necessary equipment and materials to enable production to run to schedule and you will be responsible for the reporting of production or maintenance issues to your shift leader.
No previous experience is required as full training will be offered, what is important is good communication skills and flexibility as at times production runs 24/7. The role would suit a healthy and energetic person who has the desire and capability to deliver and improve the department’s contribution to the success of the wider business.

How you'll make an impact:
1. Work independently, with minimum supervision,
2. Carry out post-production quality checks.
3. Maintain a keen attention to detail, remaining alert to all process variables.
4. Work to the production plan (and any agreed deviations) ensuring minimum stock level of products are always available
5. Maintain the machine and troubleshoot associated problems when required.
6. Develop the ability to resolve issues and non-conformances arising from the processes.
7. Liaise with your Shift Leader on departmental productivity performance.
8. Apply a flexible approach to ensure all manufacturing cycles and phases are completed and not left unattended. This may require flexibility around breaks and could, in some instances, require overtime at short notice.
Qualifications:
9. Good dexterity and eyesight and keen attention to detail
10. Ability to lift 20kg easily.
11. Able to work on own initiative
12. Comfortable in a shop floor environment
13. Fluent English communication skills - both verbal and written

14. GCSE English and Math's

16. Up to 46Hours dependent on shift pattern
