Our client, a leading supplier of Bakery Products and Ingredients, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their team in Yorkshire. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and a comprehensive product range, our client is committed to delivering excellence to its customers throughout the UK.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and increasing sales and profitability within your assigned geographical area. Your key objective will be to meet sales and margin targets while providing exceptional customer service. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure market and product knowledge is maintained, journey plans are clear, and new sales opportunities are identified and executed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain strong supplier relationships and product knowledge
Establish accurate customer records, profiles, and pricing files
Develop and review journey plans and customer categorization strategies
Identify and execute sales opportunities in new market sectors
Contribute to the annual planning and budgeting process
Act as an ambassador for the organisation, promoting its services
Requirements:
Valid UK driving licence
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Extensive sales experience
Excellent IT skills (proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and networking abilities
Results-oriented with exceptional customer service skills
