Skilled Aircraft Fitter Filton - onsite 1 2 months £26.92 per hour Inside IR35 Our client, a global leader in aerospace, defence, and aviation manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Fitter. to join our team, supporting the assembly of the A400M aircraft. This is a hands-on role ideal for experienced fitters or assembly operators with a background in engineering and a passion for precision work in the aerospace sector. Key Responsibilities Interpret engineering instructions and aircraft drawings Carry out fitting tasks to required standards, including drilling, shimming, and sealing using hand and power tools Perform 1st party certification following completion of relevant training courses Work in confined spaces (tank work), including physically demanding wing access and egress Champion Health & Safety standards at all times Required Skills & Experience Completed a full engineering apprenticeship (e.g., Aircraft/Sheet Metal Worker, Fitter/Turner, Maintenance Technician, Tool Maker) Hold NVQ Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline Previous experience as a Fitter/Assembly Operator, with confident use of hand tools Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the world's leading aerospace manufacturers, supporting critical programmes while developing your expertise in a high-profile engineering environment.
