Staff Grade Doctor Glaucoma - Part Time (2 days - 20 hrs per week)\n Nottingham\n\nOur private eye hospital group client has an exciting new opportunity for a Staff Grade Doctor with experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases to join their amazing and supportive team in their Nottingham Eye Hospital. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our NHS medical glaucoma service, providing both clinical and surgical assistance. This position requires a compassionate professional with a deep understanding of glaucoma management and patient care.
\n\nKey Responsibilities: \n- Diagnose, evaluate and manage patients with existing and undiagnosed glaucoma along with other ocular conditions. \n- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual field assessments, optical coherence tomography (OCT), volk, CCT and gonioscopy. \n- Provide management plans for existing Glaucoma referrals \n- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
\n- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. \n- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives. \n- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
\n- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding glaucoma management and treatment options. \n\nWhat You'll Need \n- Medical degree from a recognized university \n- Valid GMC registration with a license to practice in UK \n- Experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases and ability to work independently \n- UK NHS Glaucoma clinic experience \n- Gonioscopy experience \n- SLT laser experience \n- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills. \n- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
