About the programme
This is a complex, high‑priority programme with multiple interdependent workstreams and is being considered for uplift to a Tier 1 initiative. It requires an experienced Programme Manager to provide senior leadership across a broad, multi‑faceted delivery landscape.
About the role
The Programme Manager is responsible for leading the Financial Crime Detection Capabilities Programme. They have primary responsibility for successful delivery of the required outcomes, including the establishment of appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues and ensuring the business readiness for change.
Role Responsibilities:
* Leads medium‑ to high‑complexity programmes and portfolios, with oversight of lower‑complexity projects.
* Develops and owns investment cases, delivery plans, critical paths, and resource strategies.
* Manages senior internal and external stakeholders, escalating where executive support is required.
* Establishes and operates robust governance, assurance, and reporting frameworks.
* Oversees risk, issue, dependency, and supplier management across the programme.
* Ensures benefits are clearly defined, measured, owned by the business, and realised.
* Sets a clear programme vision, translating strategic objectives into delivery outcomes.
* Provides leadership, direction, and capability development across programme teams and the wider PM community.
Skills:
Minimum:
* Programme Management Expertise – Solid experience using recognised programme management methodologies, tools, and controls to deliver structured outcomes.
* Effective Communication – Able to communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders, providing timely updates and actively listening.
* Results‑Focused Delivery – Demonstrates the ability to manage workload, prioritise effectively, and deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
Essential:
* Strategic Vision & Direction – Proven ability to set a clear direction for complex programmes, aligning delivery with wider organisational objectives.
