Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Careers Advisor for a fixed-term contract until March 2026, covering a secondment opportunity. This full-time role involves providing high-quality careers advice both in the community and in secondary schools across Havering. The focus is on supporting young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) or at risk of becoming NEET after Year 11, helping them explore options and transition into positive destinations.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver one-to-one and group careers guidance sessions
* Support young people with tailored progression planning
* Collaborate with schools, community partners, and local services
* Travel across Havering to provide in-school and community-based support
Qualifications and Skills
* A recognised qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) or equivalent (e.g., youth work, coaching)
* Experience supporting young people with progression and transition
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
* Commitment to inclusive and impactful practice
