Job Overview
1. Deliver work on time as per contract performance, Helpdesk, PPM, and Remedial work orders.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Follow and comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, including Regulations, Guidance, and ACOPs.
4. Attend toolbox talks; stop work if unsafe or unsure in a polite, positive manner.
5. Update maintenance work orders, test malfunctioning equipment, identify defects, repair equipment, and replace defective parts or equipment.
6. Collaborate with the team to assist in the identification and resolution of problems.
Main Duties
1. Assist the electrical tradesperson in completing installations, including wiring tasks, alignment adjustments, and calibration of equipment following manufacturer instructions, drawings, and diagrams.
2. Be qualified in Electrical Installations BS 7671 (18th Edition), follow H&S Policy, complete paperwork, and learn installation and maintenance practices.
3. Use and understand test equipment, including digital tools, and recognize their limitations.
4. Perform no live work; use lockout/tagout procedures under the direction of the Appointed Person Electrical, JSP 375, Pt 2 Vol 3.
5. Maintain high standards of housekeeping during and after work.
