Job Description
To assist the Manager in leading on the management, development and administration of the service across a number of sites and in accordance with Council Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in the management of budgets devolved to the Day Opportunities Hubs within established cash limits.
* Take responsibility for the planned maintenance, including repairs and development of the building environment.
* Manage and supervise a team of staff including Senior Support Workers to ensure delivery of an effective service.
* Hold regular team meetings with staff and deliver an induction programme to all new staff during their probationary period.
* Manage day to day operations of the services, ensuring professional practice is monitored and delivered in accordance with professional codes of conduct.
* Assist the Manager in managing the quality assurance frameworks, measuring and monitoring standards and quality of care.
* Recruit staff and work in line with policy and procedure.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in Care or equivalent.
* Experience of supervisory management in health or social care services.
* Experience of managing effective staff appraisal and supervision practice.
* Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing care.
Essential Requirements
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good written and report writing skills.
* Ability to manage and support staff and service users through periods of change.
* Ability to operate administrative procedures and recording systems to provide accurate management information.
* Ability to motivate and develop staff and demonstrate competence whilst undertaking formal staff supervision and performance appraisal.
