Our client is seeking Senior Residential Childcare Support Workers to join a therapeutic childrens home in Mansfield, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs, developmental trauma and attachment difficulties. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support young people directly while also guiding, mentoring and role-modelling best practice for the wider staff team. The Young People Youll Support The children and young people living in the home have often experienced significant adversity and trauma. At times, this may present through heightened behaviours or emotional distress. These moments require patience, consistency and a calm, confident approach. As a Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in: Providing emotional containment and stability for young people Modelling therapeutic responses for colleagues Supporting staff to feel confident and supported during challenging situations You will use therapeutic approaches such as PACE and Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) to help young people feel safe, valued and understood.
