Norwich City Council takes all reports of antisocial behaviour (ASB) seriously and seeks to resolve ASB cases along with colleagues and partners, to ensure the best outcomes for all involved. The council takes forward tenancy enforcement action with its tenants, only where necessary and where alternative approaches to address ASB have not been successful. The ASB team manages complex antisocial behaviour cases reported to the council and takes forward tenancy enforcement action where appropriate, as well as processing and responding to reports of hate crimes and incidents. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of prioritising workloads. Working as part of a dedicated team, an ASB triage and support officer is responsible for assessing incoming reports which will involve initial investigations and allocating to an ASB response officer accordingly. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. You will be required to be well organised, methodical and be used to delivering to strict deadlines. Experience of working in a community safety or housing related field would be an advantage. You will have some experience of working with Microsoft Office software and be capable of learning to use bespoke information management systems. Provide business administration and support for Early intervention and community safety services, as directed by management. Monitor, develop and implement procedures relating to internal and external customers to identify specific improvements to the service to achieve more effective service delivery, promote self serve options where appropriate to achieve better outcomes for customers. Support the delivery and monitoring of performance objectives, both internally and externally. Develop and produce performance reports, measures and information relating to quality, customer satisfaction and delivery of services. Maintain and develop information management systems. Working under direction, plan and execute special projects in response to local need, which may vary in time duration and may involve analytical work of a statistical nature. Establish and sustain effective working relationships with customers, councillors,officers and other stakeholders in relation to services provided, including giving specialist advice and technical support as required. Ensure that ASB reports, complaints, councillor enquiries, MP enquiries and FOI requests received are processed in accordance with the council service standards.
