Due to the upcoming retirement of our long-standing Security Manager, we are seeking an exceptional security professional to step into this pivotal role. You will be joining at an exciting moment, supported by a comprehensive handover from our outgoing manager, who alongside the team are committed to empowering your success from day one. As our Security Manager, you will be the organisations expert and authority on physical security. You will provide strategic advice, operational guidance and hands-on oversight of the systems and controls that safeguard our people, assets and operations. Your work will be central to protecting the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customer and company assets, both in storage and in transit. This position will be site based in Telford, but will require you to be able to attend meetings and support at additional sites in the North. How you create impact Identify and recommend robust physical security controls, standards and procedural measures for all facilities and buildings, ensuring the continued availability, confidentiality and integrity of customer assets. Provide daily tactical leadership, coordination and expert guidance across all aspects of protective security within the contract. Monitor and locally oversee the implementation of security policies, processes and protocols,covering physical, procedural and personnel securityto safeguard the integrity, availability and confidentiality of customer assets. Maintain strong working relationships with customers and external security partners, including law enforcement and other relevant agencies. Sustain regular communication and close collaboration with operational management teams across all partner organisations to coordinate, execute and continually assess security operations across the contract. Deliver clear, concise and accurate reporting on security risks to operational and senior management using an appropriate and actionable format. Support the assessment and selection of effective risk mitigation and securityenhancement solutions. Conduct thorough investigations using established protocols to gather relevant information and evidence, enabling accurate identification of root causes for security events and incidents. Apply reactive emergency procedures to a range of security events and incidents to minimise impact and ensure timely mitigation. What we would like you to bring Ideally you will have experience in working within a confidential and security conscious environment eg Police, Military, Civil Service or Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) A working knowledge of secure transportation methods, Firearms Ordnance Munitions and Explosives, the physical security protection for materiel subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Assets Subject to Security Requirements and Protectively Marked Material Investigation management Knowledge of fire arms legislation would be advantagous Understanding of, security systems (eg CCTV, IDS, PIDS, EACS) applicable to the protection of buildings and vehicles What's in it for you If you would like to become a valued member of our team, we will ensure you are rewarded for your commitment and expertise.
