Group Overview Special Air Missions Group (SAM) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Special Mobility, and Aerial Firefighting (AFF) capabilities. SAM oversees the integration of new mission systems, ensuring operational readiness across specialized aviation operations. It manages fleet maintenance, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnerships to enhance mission effectiveness. By consolidating expertise and infrastructure, SAM ensures Metrea’s airborne capabilities remain adaptable and mission-ready across dynamic operational environments. Position Summary This role is responsible for operating a turbo-prop aircraft in accordance with UK CAA/FAA and EASA policies and Aviation Operations Europe Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role is also responsible for flight planning, conducting aircraft pre-flight check, and coordinating with company site leads and aircrew to facilitate mission execution and operations. Role and Responsibilities Operate a King Air300in accordance withEASA/CAA/FAA and company/customer directive as the Pilot in Command. Monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, other air traffic, andaircraftsystems. Coordinate all flights withappropriate FixedBased Operators, Air Traffic Contact (ATC) facilities (military and civilian), Company Site Leads, and Mission Coordination Services. Ensure safe,effectiveand efficient flight operations to include identification ofaircraftsystem malfunctions and performing required corrective actions. Perform ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) flights in day,nightand all-weather conditions (within defined safety limits). Must be able tooperatefrom remote, austere locations,possibly onunimproved runways. Completes all flight documentationin accordance withapplicable industry and EASA/CAA/FAA standards. Skills And Experience Required Education Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics. A-Levels or equivalent further education desirable. Experience: Minimum 1500 hours total flight time Minimum 1000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Minimum 200 hours of night flight time Minimum 500 hours of cross-country flight time Minimum 500 hours PIC flight time in multi engine, turbopropaircraft Required Licenses and Certifications: FAA Issued commercial PilotLicense(CPL) with multi-engine (AMEL) rating and Instrument rating or an FAA issued AirlineTransport Pilot (ATP)licensewith multi-engine land (AMEL) rating.
