Senior Project Manager – Major Aviation Infrastructure Location: West London Project Type: Nationally Significant Aviation / Capital Delivery Salary Negotiable depending on experience. A major UK aviation infrastructure programme is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the safe, assured and effective delivery of capital programmes within a highly complex, live operational environment. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, shaping delivery strategy, and ensuring outcomes are achieved to the highest standards of safety, quality, cost and performance. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating design, development, construction delivery and commissioning activities across multiple workstreams, driving continuous improvement and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and supply chain partners. The Role You will lead one or more capital programmes, ensuring integrated, sustainable, and high‑performing delivery across all phases. Key responsibilities: * Lead and manage project teams to deliver solutions that meet scope, schedule and benefits * Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure requirements are defined, approved and integrated * Plan and manage full end‑to‑end execution, defining goals, roles and deliverables * Oversee safety responsibilities and ensure safe working practices across all delivery teams * Integrate design, development, construction, commissioning and process requirements * Manage project performance using project controls tools, including earned value and risk analysis * Ensure full testing, commissioning and handover to operations * Conduct post‑project reviews and ensure lessons learned are captured * Support contract management and commercial oversight * Ensure adherence to gateway lifecycle and programme governance requirements Experience & Background This role suits seasoned project leaders with strong delivery capability in complex, high‑risk operational environments.
