Overview
As a Pre Hybrid Infrastructure Consultant, you will work closely with Account Managers and the Professional Services/ Managed Service team, heavily focused on Servers, Storage and Backup. You will work within the Pre-Sales team to uncover and solve customer business and technical problems. You will understand customer challenges, at a strategic level and work with vendors/service partners to build end-to-end solutions that could encompass both on-premise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
Role Description
As a member of the Technical Pre-Sales function of Business Solutions and Services, you will be pivotal to the overall growth of Bechtle UK’s Hybrid Infrastructure pillar. As a team, we are centred around understanding customer challenges and supporting organisations meet the challenges of modernising and scaling their infrastructure and cloud consumption to ensure optimal efficiency and performance in a secure manner. You will support pre-sales engagements through gaining an understanding of client requirements and in technical pre-sales discussions, ensuring the solution and/or service meets client expectations. You will have a good understanding of 3 Tier and 2 Tier, storage, back up and disaster recovery technologies, with a knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and migration considerations.
Job Role Responsibilities
* Provide expert technical pre-sales support for opportunities involving servers, storage, DR and backup solution.
* Understand and gather customer requirements and offer complete & cost effective solution
* Assess, design and present end-to-end hybrid infrastructure solutions wrapped with Bechtle Services
* Creation of technical documentation as and when required, including HLD’s, SoW’s and proposals
* Support Account Managers to deliver and hold strategic whiteboarding sessions with key customer stakeholders (virtual and F2F)
* Maintain good understanding of the competitive landscape and complimenting solutions
* Continuously learn and certify against key vendors within Hybrid Infrastructure such as Veeam, HPE, DELL, Microsoft Azure, VMWare, Nutanix etc.
* Create and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and surrounding service partners
* Conduct in-house technology sharing to fellow peers.

Experience
* 3+ years’ experience in a similar role (i.e. PreSales/consultant/engineer)
* Exposure to infrastructure services and legacy transitions
* Experience in recommending and designing solutions
* Certifications in Azure, core infrastructure and virtualisation would be advantageous
* Good understanding of our strategic vendors solutions and offerings
