Job Title: Senior Production Planner
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Production Planner to join a leading food manufacturing company. This is a fantastic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality products while optimising planning processes.
As a key member of the Production team, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily flow of materials and resources to ensure production schedules are met efficiently and on time. This is a critical role in ensuring the company meets its service levels while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain accurate daily production schedules based on works orders and stock requirements.
* Ensure production planning considers capacity, labour, materials, and equipment availability.
* Work closely with the Commercial team to analyse forecasts and prepare for future capacity and material needs.
* Respond promptly to any production plan disruptions, such as machine breakdowns or last-minute order uplifts.
* Manage seasonal production fluctuations, ensuring OTIF service levels are maintained during peak periods.
* Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to streamline planning processes.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, NPD, and Operations teams to support production trials and ongoing improvements.
* Maintain and develop planning systems and tools for improved accuracy and efficiency.
* Promote a strong food safety and quality culture across the business.
Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar planning role within an FMCG environment (food sector preferred).
* Strong knowledge of high-volume production planning and raw material coordination.
* Understanding of chilled and frozen food production processes is desirable.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
* Knowledge of SAGE200 (preferred but not essential).
* Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
