Building Safety and Compliance Officer
Salary up to 35k, hybrid working, Employee Ownership Trust structure

The Role
You will work as part of the Building Safety and Compliance team to ensure that all properties within the portfolio meet required standards under current legislation. You will support the department leader with both day to day operational activity and strategic compliance planning.
Your responsibilities will include,
• Supporting all building safety, fire safety and general health and safety requirements
• Monitoring compliance across a diverse property portfolio and ensuring actions are completed in a timely manner
• Assisting with the preparation and review of safety documentation, including building safety cases and reports
• Working on remediation projects and compliance improvement activity
• Liaising with contractors, internal teams and external authorities
• Reviewing risk assessments and reporting on outstanding actions
• Ensuring that inspection schedules, records and evidence are accurate and up to date
• Supporting the department leader with project work, audits and regulatory processes
• Promoting a strong culture of safety across the organisation
About You
We are seeking someone who is passionate about building safety and wants to contribute to safer homes and safer communities.
You should have,
• Experience within building safety, fire safety, compliance or health and safety
• A relevant qualification in health and safety, fire safety or building compliance
• Strong understanding of residential building safety legislation and best practice
• Confident communication and the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• A proactive and positive approach to problem solving
• The desire to grow within a high performing team
